clipper starts trainee recruitment
Two new shipping trainees in 2016
Clipper is on the lookout for the two most talented and committed trainees to join our two-year shipping trainee program commencing September 1, 2016.
Our trainees will gain practical experience from the day-to-day work in different teams and theoretical shipping knowledge from the Danish Shipping Academy. They will be posted in Copenhagen but have the world as their workplace with frequent contacts to colleagues and partners around the world.
Our trainees will participate in the Commercial Shipping Program facilitated by the Danish Shipping Academy (Danish Shipowners’ Association). The training is conducted in 3 modules during the 2-year trainee period, and all teaching is in English. Courses include maritime law, maritime economics, ship knowledge and negotiation and communication skills. They will also have the option to study Business Administration (HD 1. del) at Copenhagen Business School.
From day one they will have many challenging tasks and personal responsibility. We pride ourselves of our frontline decision making and performance culture, in return we expect them to take charge.
"At Clipper, trainees are taken seriously, and we offer sound training based on experience. The trainee program is very important to us, because it allows us to help develop the best performers and potential future leaders."
- Anne Møller, HR consultant
