Seatruck celebrates 20 years anniversary
Seatruck Ferries marks two decades in the ro-ro business
In April 1996, Seatruck Ferries commenced operations on the Irish Sea. It all started with one vessel: M/V Bolero sailing the Warrenpoint–Heysham route. More vessels followed and in 2007, Seatruck’s ro-ro services were complemented with a new route Dublin–Liverpool. The third route, Dublin–Heysham, was added in 2011. Today, Seatruck controls a fleet of 12 modern ro-ro vessels and keeps breaking volume records.
“Being part of Clipper Group has enabled us to make the necessary investments when and where needed, and ride out the challenging years. We are a bigger company now, but we still retain that pioneering small company attitude and have the freedom to run the business as we know best.” says Alistair Eagles, CEO for Seatruck Ferries.
A third vessel, Clipper Pace, was added on the Dublin–Liverpool route in November 2015. Since her arrival on the route, volumes for Seatruck have grown quickly and strongly. Seatruck Ferries marked the anniversary with an all-time monthly record on unaccompanied trailers in April 2016.
We all look forward to the next exciting chapter on the Irish Sea. Cheers to Seatruck!
